Singing River Tours
Tour Information
Singing River Tours is a company that specializes in tours, education, and entertainment on the
waters of the Rainbow and Withlacoochee Rivers, in central Florida. It was founded by Jon
Semmes, professional musician and captain.

What type of cruises do you offer?
We offer a variety of eco-educational, historical, party-related and sightseeing trips.  We can
work with your group to meet your special requests.

What size boat do you have?
Our primary vessel is a 24' pontoon boat.  It is completely shaded for the comfort of our
patrons.  It has been US Coast Guard inspected, and is handicap
-accessible, with a gate
opening large enough to accommodate a wheelchair.

What can I expect if I book a tour?
Expect the unexpected during your tour!  This area is filled with a variety of wildlife, from many
species of fish to gators and turtles to a wide variety of birds. We never know what we will see
but we can be assured the natural beauty of this area will shine brightly.  Also, you will be
privileged to enjoy some of the finest music composed about Florida, played live by your
captain!  Capt. Jon’s knowledge of the ecology of central Florida and the history of Boomtown
Dunnellon will enlighten and entertain you.

Can we bring food and drinks onto the boat?
If you have booked a private party tour, you can bring snacks or lunch onto the boat.  If you
want to bring a cooler of your own, no problem.  The only thing to remember is that
Florida law
prohibits anyone from
bringing any type of alcohol or disposable containers (including baggies
or soda cans, etc.) on the Rainbow River.  The Rainbow River has been designated an
“Outstanding Florida Waterway”, and care is taken to maintain its pristine nature.

Where does the boat leave from?
You will board the boat at Angler's Resort, located at 12189 S Williams St, Dunnellon.  Public
restrooms are available in the bait/tackle shop at Angler's Resort.  Other boarding locations may
be arranged to accommodate a special trip.  There are several boarding locations along the
rivers, on various county properties and parks.

What other services do you offer?
We can assist you in finding other fun things to do in the Dunnellon area.  The town of
Dunnellon has a variety of antique shops, gift and specialty shops, and dining establishments.
We will help you with contact information as requested.
If you wish to stay overnight to explore
the town and local area,
Angler's Resort offers motel rooms.

How far in advance do I need to book?
That just depends on the time of year and how flexible you are with your times.  If you have
specific dates and times desired we would advise as much lead time as possible.  You may call
us at
(352) 804-1573.  Reservations are required!
